Shadow Traffic finds Curtis exploring the deeper, more technical end of 140 BPM production, with a tightly focused collection of bass, drums, synths and musical ideas designed for building tracks from the ground up. The pack moves between heavy low-end pressure, detailed rhythmic programming and more atmospheric synth work, with plenty of space left for producers to reshape the sounds rather than being locked into fully formed ideas. The construction loops and synth material are particularly useful for getting something moving quickly, while the bass sections provide full, mid and sub layers for much more control when arranging and mixing.
Containing 400 samples across 620MB, Shadow Traffic has plenty of depth without feeling overloaded. The loop section includes 40 synth loops, 20 music construction loops, layered bass material and full drum patterns alongside separate hi-hat, top and stripped versions. The one-shot library adds a wide selection of kicks, snares, hats, percussion, FX, synths and bass sounds, making the pack just as useful for creating completely new patterns as it is for working with the included loops. It’s a detailed, flexible collection with a strong bass-driven character and plenty of smaller elements to combine, process and take in your own direction.
