Biome - Shifting Shapes Vol. 3

Deep Heads presents Shifting Shapes Vol. 3, the latest instalment in the sample-pack series from Biome.

Following the success of Shifting Shapes Volumes 1 and 2, Biome returns with another extensive collection of sounds, this time digging even further into the deeper, more atmospheric side of his production style. With the majority of the pack created at 140 BPM, Shifting Shapes Vol. 3 brings together a wide selection of bass, drums, chords, pads, atmospheres and effects. Throughout the pack you’ll find many of the signature sounds and textures associated with Biome’s productions, alongside plenty of material that reflects the deeper sound that has long been at the heart of Deep Heads.

There is a strong emphasis on space, depth and atmosphere throughout, with a particularly rich selection of pads, chords and evolving textures for producers looking to add more feeling and movement to their music. The sounds are designed to work straight out of the box, while still leaving plenty of room to manipulate, process and reshape them into something completely individual.

At the heart of the pack are 30 bass loops alongside 30 individual bass sounds, offering a broad range of weight, movement and low-end texture. These are joined by 15 chord loops and 25 pad loops, providing deeper musical and atmospheric elements that can sit subtly within a track or form the foundation of an entire idea.

The drum section is equally detailed, featuring 25 hi-hats, 25 kick drums and 25 snares, alongside 30 original drum loops. Each of those 30 drum loops has also been separated into its individual kick, snare and top-loop elements, giving producers much greater flexibility when rebuilding, layering or completely reworking the original rhythms. Completing the collection are 15 atmospheres and 15 effects, adding further space, character and detail to productions.
